RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (FEB. 13, 2008) A cooperative effort between Broco, Inc., Eagle Industries, and Avon-ISI (part of Avon Rubber p.l.c.’s protection business) has produced the Breachers’ A.R.C. – Advanced Respiration and Cutting system. The fully-modular system allows side-by-side use of Broco’s exothermic torch with respiratory protection for serious breaching operations.
“Breaching operations often encounter smoke and gases that can derail or detain a forced entry or rescue operation,” said Tom Joos, Broco vice president. “With the Breachers’ A.R.C. momentum is sustained as operators breathe freely and utilize the portable power and speed of the Broco torch to destroy almost any obstacle.”
The Breachers’ A.R.C. features a comfortable backpack Molle platform with cylinder support enclosures, battery bag, rod extender and cutting rod holders, pouches for mask, hoses, cable, and keeper clips. Users can customize the configuration of the system to their immediate requirements including adaptation to a full-size torch with a selfcontained breathing apparatus (SCBA) or mini-torch and SCBA among other solutions. Broco’s tactical division will preview the Breachers’ A.R.C. at Trexpo in Long Beach, California, Feb. 19 – 21.
