SAN DIEGO, CA (May 1, 2008) Rankin Industries announced that it has been registered by Intertek Testing Services as conforming to the requirements of ISO 9001:2000. The quality management certification is applicable to Rankin™ Industries management systems for the design and manufacture of build-up and hardfacing welding products.

To earn the ISO 9001:2000 registration companies must be certified to the standard by demonstrating proven quality principles and process management. Adherence to these principles and processes must cover business activities from staff training, to vendor and
supplier relationships, to the design, development and delivery of products, meeting customer requirements, and more.
As part of the certification process Intertek Testing Services, NA, Inc. performed an onsite assessment, reviewed documented procedures and audited overall business operations. Intertek is the world’s largest independent testing, inspection, and certification partner with more than 70 offices on six continents.
